Find Intervals for X duration

Is there a “find intervals” feature? say for example I wanted to see a list of my best X number of 5 minute (or any other duration) efforts. Or if not is this something that could be added?

The ‘intervals’ tab on the left hand menu will get you close to what you want…eg.

I guess I was not clear enough, I meet for one ride, for example, say I did a ride that lasted 1hr 30m, and I did not do any “per say intervals” but the ride had several hard efforts of different durations (I never hit the lap button). Once I downloaded the ride I decided I wanted to see my best x (number) of x (duration) efforts for that ride. Wanting something like this #1- 5m@ 250, #2-5m@ 246, #3-5m@ 215, #4-5m@190,… for how ever many efforts you’re wanting to see. Maybe that explains it better??

Yep understand.

On the activity, if you go to the power tab on left hand side, the power duration curve will give you your best x power for y duration, but only for this ride (and compared to other time periods). Eg.

To get what you want, it would be good if @david enabled the functionality from the main/global Power Duration Curve (main tab on left hand side) which is under options that says “show next 5 maximum efforts”

Would this cover it?

Close but not exactly, the best x (number) of x duration) of maximum efforts of the same ride.

How does the above not cover this? If the functionality of the main PDC options ref “5 next best PDC” is enabled on the activity page PDC for a specific ride, then you will have what you need?

If I’m looking at it right, those best efforts all have different dates, so from 5 different rides, I’d like to see for example the 1st best, 2nd best, 3rd best, 4th best, 5th best 5 efforts of the same duration from just one ride.

On your activity page there is a PDC specific to that activity (which also shows a comparison to other timeframes). Screen show 1 above…

On the main PDC (separate tab on left hand side main menu) you can enable an option which shows the next 5 maximal efforts for a duration across different rides. Screen shot 2 and 3 above…

If david enabled the latter functionality on the activity page PDC then you would get what you want. You can’t do it now, but its a functionality request that I would expect is possible…

If you go to the Interval page as @Olly_Thomas suggested.
Type in duration, power, number of reps (3-6), and the last 365 days if you have recently done these.
In the example below, it returns all the rides, below the chart, where I did 3-6 repeats at the 300W for 5 minutes…
Clicking on the dot will give you some data.

Gerald, did you actually do 5minute intervals (hit the lap button) on that ride?

In my case, all but one ride, in December, were structured workouts with laps.

If I change to say 3m duration, pick the power I’d probably do more often outside on a free ride, then I get a lot more data showing that is lap based.

I’m still lacking a proper “find intervals” function. Actually it’s the only thing for which I still use Golden Cheetah. E.g. if I do a workout with 10x30"/30" + 10x40"/20" efforts I don’t push lap every time I do a 30" or 40" effort but afterwards I’d like to be able to search for my 10 best 30" efforts and 10 best 40" efforts and get a nice list.

I would love to see this as well. As race season is upon us, I regularly do “kitchen sink” group rides/race simulations. Targeting VO efforts or other repeats in a race-like ride it is super helpful to be able to pull out all those efforts, and look at the power decline over time as fatigue sets in. Like bumble_bee mentioned this is a super helpful chart in Golden Cheetah and would love to see something similar if that was possible.

If my VOMax on my PD curve is 315, how many intervals did I do at ±10w at that intensity for that single ride, not best efforts over time like the charts above.

I think the “Find Intervals” feature is what you are looking for:
