Watts Mismatch with Strava / .icu

Hi there,

Any idea why Strava watts are higher than .ICU watts. Workout is done on Zwift and auto uploaded to Strava/.icu but thees a big difference between the Stava number and the .icu number this is raw watts and NP

Thanks
Sean

Can you please post a link to an activity with this problem. Usually it would be due to power spikes being clipped (FTP set too low or you are just good at short stuff).

Hi David

I have the .icu file and strava file below. These were 8min efforts and the power on both looks way off.

Thanks
Sean

Ah this is more bad lap data from Strava. Do you have privacy circles turned on? Strava often messes up the lap data given to Intervals.icu if you do.

Those are very neat intervals. The automatic interval detection will probably pick them up. Do Actions → Analyse and untick all the boxes and see what you get.

Yes ive privacy set up, I’ll untick and give that a go. Thanks for help here I appreciate that.

I’ve previously asked Strava to turn this feature off (or allow the option to) turn this off for virtual rides.

Sadly they’re not quite as efficient as David so if you have the time adding another ticket will help

Hi Ben,

I will try sending a ticket as the data I’m getting is way off, anything I can do in meantime. Ive tried @David suggestion to untick but no joy im afraid.

Thanks
Sean

I’d just delete them all and add manually personally, press D to delete (when hovering over) then A to add new ones and just drag the boxes to the correct bits

I’ll try that , thanks for tip but shouldn’t really have to be manually editing intervals. So is the consensus this is a Strava bad data issue and nothing can really be done by .icu
Thanks
Sean

Yes unless Strava fix the bug Intervals.icu can’t really do anything much about it.
