My Wahoo bolt v1 soft version WB15-13127 has been upgraded to WB15-13310 and lost feature of training plans sync.
I had a quick phone call from team mate that something wrong is going on with his sync, so I disconnected wifi and also pressed on Wahoo’ screen “upgrade / NO” . I uploaded one traning by USB cable which was visable in “planned workouts” at soft WB15-13127 than… restart
unfortunally system has upgraded itself into WB15-13310 contrary to my decision. I do not see any training despite of some “Ineos staff, FTP ,etc”.
The status for now is that few of my mates having bolt v2, roam including mine bolt v1 lost feature of planned workout sync. Hopefully Wahoo would turn it on again, but currenly third party files are not able to be used.
Same Problem here. I contacted support dir this. This is the answer:
Hi Sebastian,
Thanks for getting in touch about your ELEMNT.
Planned workouts can be synced onto your ELEMNT via Training Peaks, Trainer Road or Today’s Plan. I have attached a guide below, which I hope will be of use:
Importing ERG files in the way you have described is not currently supported, so you may experience issues importing files in this way. I apologise for this inconvenience. We are always looking to improve our products and will work to expand planned workout integration in future. Future improvements to this will come via firmware update,
I hope this helps! Please let me know if you have any further questions and I will do my best to help.
I too fell foul of believing and upgrade was beneficial. And I too got EXACTLY the same stock response from Wahoo HQ.
I’ve replied telling them that they suck and the cost of TR or TP or Today’s Plan etc subscription off sets me buying a new GPS head unit that DOES allow user files to be uploaded.
I’m “lucky” I had a couple of weeks left on my TR grandfathered plan at a low price, but still it sucks!
Maybe it’s time to consider change to Garmin unit? I was thinking about upgrading my Bolt to newer version (color can be easier to read during hard efforts, and upgraded routing could be nice) but:
-still no Ant+ light support
-no support for W’bal at all (Garmin has it as an app)
-very difficult to use planned workouts if you don’t want to pay for TP account (and honestly TP is getting so outdated, Intervals.icu is years ahead in terms of design, support, capabilities)
Maybe it’s not much, but from my perspective it makes wahoo bolt almost useless, and show that they just don’t care at all ;/

Got the same reply a few days ago. It does look promising, yeah. So I agree that it would possibly help if more people raise that an important feature was dropped and that it wasn’t as niche as they might have thought
Please report this issue to Wahoo (https://support.wahoofitness.com/). If there are a lot of such reports, they may pay attention to this problem. I’ve already done it!
I actually had really good experience with the wahoo support team the last few weeks. Got a really good offer on a new device because of some minor issues with my 4 year old bolt. They also helped me rapidly fast with another issue. And they seemed to take my placed ticket in case of the mrc file issue serious. So I can’t really say any bad and hopefully there will be a solution for the planned workout issue in the near future. Let’s see. Right to I help myself with the 5 free workouts you can use in Trainingpeaks without premium. Not great but I still hope it’s just temporary.
Apparently Wahoo removed the import function of mrc files again. At least for me the upload of mrc files to the Element (Version WR20-15592) via mtp file transfer did not work. After a conversion to Wahoo’s .plan file with this script: https://github.com/ManuelWiese/mrc_tools the upload worked!
