I have searched, and I’ve read a lot about Form in the Fitness tab, but I still don’t understand what’s wrong with my training. I ride about 45min-1hr15mins 5-6 times per week. I’ve been keeping track since the start of Jan. Why is my form consistently in the red? I have read that if you don’t train much it could take a long time for the lag to “catch up” but I think 5-6 hrs/week isn’t low (or is it?). Do I just need something like 6 mos of data instead of (nearly) three?
Had the same thing. It’s because you have Form set to percentage of fitness in the settings. As long as your fitness is below something like 60-70, you will get in the red very fast while probably still feeling OK. Set Form to Absolute Value and from about half way on your chart it will be in the green -10 to -30. The percentage of fitness can better be used once your fitness has doubled, which want take to long if you keep the same consistency as you do now, congrats.
Just be honest with yourself and take some recovery if you feel tired. The chart is a help and not a holy grail.
Oh wow, you were completely right! I don’t even recall changing that (or perhaps it’s default). I just flipped it and I feel so much better about my training. I kept thinking I was doing something wrong, but I wasn’t sure if I was training too much or too little or not recovering enough. I do listen to my body and take a day off when needed. Tomorrow is my day off! Thanks again!
It is default and you probably want to switch back to it once you are used to higher loads and have a higher fitness number. For some reason, I never get to that point. Life always gets in the way
You also can keep an eye on both by just adding a custom absolute form instead of changing the percentage one
