Tyme Wear breathing rate metrics

The Tyme Wear breathing rate chest strap seems poised to be a very useful training tool, providing interesting training insights by measuring breathing rate, quantifying this in accordance with individualised VT1/2 values.

I was wondering if anyone has any thoughts on this and if it could possibly be implemented as a metric for importing and analysis within intervals.icu? It seems to be objectively useful for intra- and inter-workout analysis.

Intervals.icu has had support for Tymewear data for several years now. You just have to click ā€œChartsā€ and tick the boxes:

Thank you - sorry I missed that. Is there a way to summarise weekly intensity distribution in accordance with VT1/VT2 values determined by the VitalPro device? Perhaps in the fitness tab?

No not yet. But you can do it with custom activity fields (one for each zone) and JavaScript:

These can be plotted on the /fitness page.

Custom zones for any streams are on the todo list.

So for the moment some of the data fields are present, but there is no direct way to get LT1 / LT2 from those?
(how is the data best integrated or merged in those already imported from Coros. Suunto, … because only Garmin seems to be ā€˜supported’?

Thx for what is already available!

Tx. Intervals.icu can currently only get things encoded in the fit file. So something would need to add it to Coros etc. files if they do not have native Tymewear support.

It might be possible to create a custom activity field to compute those from the data using JavaScript, if the algorithm is known (and not Tymewear secret sauce).

I’ve made a feature request a few hours ago with Coros :grinning:

Just got my Tymewear strap. What about an entire section for breathing Zones (along with pace, power, HR)?

That way we just need to input our VE zone information and that can be analyzed along with other metrics based on that zone

Where does one get Heat Strain Index (HSI) from? I don’t see it listed on Tymewears Website. And Believe me living in the Valley in Arizona, I am sure I am getting added stress that maybe should be counted towards my TSS. I am considering going completely away from External load and using internal Load, HR, Breathing and while Heat is external It seems like it should be used like its internal.

IIRC, HSI is for or coming from The CORE sensor.
Not sure if it’s available in other sensors.

Anyways, you should be able to add that as a field but depends if your FIT file has that field.

You should be able to do that with custom zones. This is still under development but the editor is live already:

So it is a separate sensor? Not part of Tymewear?

Correct.

CORE and Tymewear are separate sensors made by different companies.

CORE measures skin & core body temp. They recommend pairing with a 3rd party HRM for more accurate readings. It calculates HSI (Heat Strain Index) based on the readings.

Tymewear measures HR and breathing rate. It doesn’t have a temperature sensor, hence no HSI.

Yes. Cores been out for years, Tymewear just released.

Try and combine both with a stryd do and Garmin explodes. Lol

I was asking because @david listed HSI with VE and VT as check boxes to check, previous in this thread.

Hi!
I’m new by Tymewear. Imported ramp test via .fit to inertvals.icu but didn’t see VT VE data in intervals table and chart
