Swim workouts covering to different length units when not intended

Hi,

Not sure if this is an intervals thing or a garmin thing. My swim workouts are in yards. I set the pool length and enter the distance in yards. When downloaded onto the watch the workout screen shows distance remaining. Distance remaining is meters rather than yards even though it’s still counting down yards.

For example the workout today was 2500 yards (see attached) but the countdown screen showed 2286 yards (). 2500 yards = 2286 meters.

I don’t recall this being an issue when I was swimming in a metric distance pool. Also, it works correctly when I create workouts in garmin connect.

I’m also seeing this issue. Maybe because my distance is metric?

My workout files is:

pool length: 25y

Warmup

  • Warmup 200y Z2 Pace intensity=warmup

  • rest Press lap

  • Swim 50y Z2 Pace

  • rest Press lap

  • kick 50y

  • rest Press lap

  • pull 50y

  • rest Press lap

  • Swim 50y Z2 Pace

  • rest Press lap

Main Set 3x
-Swim 200y Z3 Pace
-rest 1m

Cooldown

  • 200y Z1 Pace

My watch shows it’s synching to Garmin as meters too.
