I’ve done a few HM training plans and completed a HM in Feb (2:06). Done plenty of 5ks and 10ks so I’m not a beginner anymore.
But I wondered if there’s anything like a training plan for “staying prepared” for a HM? I don’t have any HM races coming up but I want to be able to remain close to HM fit without needing to start a 16wk program if I decide I want to do an impromptu HM next month?
What kind of training should I look for? I’ve tried going plan-free and running whatever but my diet and overall performance drops too much without structure.
Any advice/plans/ideas on just staying ‘match fit’ for a possible race in a month or something?
