[SOLVED] Workout type for a "niche" sport

Hello everybody. As a new user I’m loving al the new insights I’m getting from this site. At this moment I am trying to get al my data as organized as possible. I’m a regular runner and cyclist but besides that I also do a very specific sport that’s never going to be integrated in any app or program as a specific workout type. It is a very high intensity interval kinda sport that’s also combining a lot of upper body strength because we throw a heavy ball around. In my language it is called Krachtbal witch you can translate to something like “Powerball” or “forceball”. Also see the video link for a impression.

I was wondering witch sports profile fits best for this kind of activity. I use a polar varity sense in game that storage the workout and then later upload it. Personally I have tough of CrossFit ass it get HIIT en Weight training. but not so much movement. Is sport profile importante add al in intervals. Like if you fill in weight training does it takes into account that lifting weights does provide a lot of stress without raising your heart rate. Any thoughts on this are welcome.

Tx. You could choose “CrossFit” or “HIIT” whichever makes the most sense for you. You can configure how the training load from the HR data is used for fitness and fatigue in /settings:

Just add a row for the sport. The default is 100% of load to both fitness and fatigue.

Thank you @David! Very interesting that you can tweak the Fitness and Fatigue load impact. I will start experimenting with it for my sport

I just realised all my Muay Thai workouts were also not counting towards the load. The sport definitely contributes to my cardio fitness. It’s actually one of two sports that I can get to my max HR(200) in.

I think I’ll switch them all to HIIT. Is there a way to mass-apply this?

EDIT: found a way on the Activities page
