Has anyone tried with Train.Red FYER devices? I don’t see the SmO2 fields being populated (it works fine with my Moxy units).
Channels in the Garmin fit file are named differently: such as currhemoperc and 2nd_currhemoperc
I’ll guess I’m missing how to tag these fields as SmO2 channels. Any insight would be appreciated.
Thanks
Please mail me (david@intervals.icu) one of those files and I will have a look. Tx.
Done! Thanks!
You should be able to see the first channel already. It worked for me when I uploaded your file. I have added support for the 2nd channel and will deploy Tues AM (GMT+2).
Thanks! I reprocessed the file this morning and I now see both SmO2 channels correctly detected and displayed.
Hi -
I have added Moxy Sensor support for my BreakAway App. I understand that you have a Train.Red FYER device. I wonder if this update can also read the data from your sensor.
A small analysis on the interpretation of a session with a NIRS device (Humon)
Hello, I have a question which SmO2 sensor I used or is it recommended in conjunction with Garmin and Intervals.icu
can you clarify your question? Are you asking which SMO2 sensor is supported by Intervals.icu?
Sensor on Garmin and mi fit file on intervals.icu for evaluation
I’m sorry, I still do not understand the question.
If the smo2 data is in the garmin FIT file, intervals.icu will be able to read it and if not, you can create a custom activity stream to read it.
The question is whether anyone has experience with SmO2 sensors
I use in almost all training , and plot the graph in Intervals.icu
Thanks for the reply
What kind of manufacturer or brand?
I want to buy a Sesor but don’t know which one.
I will go with Moxy or Noxx - i dont know the current prices
Thank you for your message
Humon Hex is still sold by a Spanish micro company (no firmware updates), original company closed.
Connects directly with Garmin Watch as Ant+ sensor, doesn’t needs Moxyzones app.
Thanks
Not sure if you bought one yet but I would recommend the nnoxx, you can only use it with their platform which is a bummer, but apparently you can export the csv file if you pay for the more expensive option. The main difference is that it measures Nitrate Oxide as well, not just smo2. (Arguably, might be a more accurate data on blood flow compare to thb) But I ended up going with moxy because I don’t want them to charge me a subscription fee for their platform, also I use so many platforms and devices like garmin, wahoo, polar etc. So I cannot just use their platform without my cycling computer.
How accurate is by ANT+ connection? Do you recommend Humon sensor over Moxy?
