Yes, I’m new and I’d like to get into the topic. To build a good aerobic base, you should also strengthen it, that is, increase it gradually.
The correct terminology is needed to avoid misinterpretations. Just as when “fitness”, the way it is used in the “fitness” graph in here, isn’t the definition in the dictionary, I think you mean the term “load” when you say “strength.”
Aerobic fitness (same word, different meaning ) gains are achieved by time in the saddle at longer, lower intensities, zone 2, when lactate is not produced. Shorter higher intensity may equal the same load, but not the same aerobic benefits. Yes, you would be correct in saying “load” needs to be increased gradually. For you I’d say that’s not going to be much of an issue. It’ll probably the long, low intensity, the I’m hardly pedaling feeling, that will be weird. It’s counter-intuitive, against every instinct. For me though as I’ve watched my “decoupling” drop, it’s well worth the time.
I would like to ask a question about triathlon workouts, are they useful or not?
There is already an identical thread.
Can someone please merge these?
That it
To whom it may concern:
@david, is there a bug on the power data. i mean, i wish to brag about the improvement, but still.
If you click on the W/Kg, in the table, eg. your 20m power, you will see the activity where that comes from. Check your activity file, to see if it’s genuine or not. That would definitely indicate if there is a bug.
i hear you, but there’s no clickable links both in the table and in the graph … hence the bug?
on the upper table works fine:
