Phone App for outdoor rides

What would be best app for heart rate based training for outdoor rides? And of course, which would somewhat easy import intervals.icu workouts and send completed ride data to Strava (and strava then to Intervals).

I know bike computer is best, but currently I need solution for Quadlock + Iphone. Strava app is only good for basic rides.

RidewithGPS comes up ever so often when reading about rear facing radars.

Never tried riding with phones, so I haven’t tried any apps in that regard.

What HR device are you using?

Bluetooth HR strap paired to phone

I used to use cyclemeter a very long time ago. (iPhone 4s era)

Really off topic, but why would I want to use the phone for that?

I like to know that my phone is rather “safe” in my back pocket, not “wasting battery” or being exposed in case of a crash, so that it’s main functionality - “calling someone to pick me up in case of crashes or technicals” is assured.

Even the cheapest garmin edge has pretty much full support for all sensors out there and is far easier to read than a phone on the handlebars.

in my case, it was the lowest cost of invesment at that point in time.

Before I had my first Bike Computer, I LOVED using the Wahoo Fitness App ‎Wahoo Fitness on the App Store

It has all the features I love about my Wahoo ELEMNT BOLT (Maps, Sensor Integration, etc), but with the risk that on long rides my phone battery could run die which is why I moved to using the stand-Alone device so I could also trust that my phone would have battery if I was stranded / in an accident.
