Hello Everyone ,
I could need some community advice since I’m just getting started using Intervals ICU for my triathlon training. I’ve been using the app to track my swim, bike, and run sessions as I get ready for an Olympic-distance triathlon. Despite the fact that I feel like I’m receiving a good amount of data, I’m not sure how to prioritise the many indicators that are accessible to me in order to optimise my performance.
These are some enquiries I have:
Which metrics should I prioritise when training for a triathlon?
How, for example, should I strike a balance between ATL (acute training load), TSB (training stress balance), and CTL (chronic training load)? Are there any other important metrics that I should keep a careful eye on?
How can I best define boundaries between each discipline?
I know that Intervals ICU enables discipline-specific thresholds, but I’m not sure how to adjust them specifically for running, cycling, and swimming. Any advice on a good way to calibrate these?
Which are the best ways to use the Power/Fitness charts?
I’ve been looking over my cycling power statistics, but I’m not quite sure how to understand the patterns. How can I use this knowledge to avoid overtraining and enhance performance?
I would definitely appreciate any suggestions on striking a decent balance between pushing myself and preventing burnout. Please feel free to contribute any templates, salesforce developer resources, or first-hand knowledge that could assist me improve my strategy!
Thank you in advance.
