LeCoach.app - AI cycling coach for Intervals!

Hi Luke,

I see in the db that the majority of your activities have synced over to us correctly and thus also should show up correctly. I do notice that about one in 10 of your recent activities (might be more for older activities) have STRAVA as the recording source. LeCoach and any other AI platform that gets its activities via Intervals cannot read activities with Strava as the source.

To fix that in short:

  1. On Intervals.icu make sure to connect every single platform you use to record activities (Garmin, Zwift, MyWhoosh etc) and select ‘Download activities’.

  2. Once you have for example Garmin or Zwift connected, also press the ‘Download old data’ button to Download old activities, wellness or workouts. These activities will now appear on LeCoach when you do a full re-sync. Don’t worry about duplicates, Intervals will take care of it, however it will change the source from STRAVA to whatever you actually used to record the activity when you did it.

  3. According to Intervals you can also leave Strava on for ‘Download activities’ but if you never actually record via Strava as your primary source you could also consider turning this off.

  4. Finally, go back to LeCoach and perform a Full Intervals Sync on your Settings page.

Recording activities via Strava?

If you are currently recording activities via Strava we recommend switching to for example Garmin or Wahoo to record the activities

Last resort: import everything

If any historic activities are still missing after following the steps above, you can download your raw data from Strava and import in Intervals. Instructions are here. After you’ve done perform a Full Intervals Sync again in LeCoach.

Here is the full explanation in our support article; Activities (from Strava) are not showing up in LeCoach | LeCoach Support

Ok, thanks, will give it a go

Hi everyone, we shipped a lot of good stuff lately, so if you missed it here’s an update of the latest changes at your favorite AI Endurance Coach, LeCoach

Two big themes: making LeCoach easier to talk to, and making the day view much more useful.

:speech_balloon: Unified chat

This was probably the most requested improvement: the separate normal chat and plan edit chat are gone.

You can now just talk to LeCoach in one conversation and ask it to adjust your plan or workouts directly from there. No more switching to a separate plan edit mode, no handovers, and much less risk of missing context.

:date: Completely rebuilt day view

The day view has been rebuilt from a compact summary into a proper daily endurance coaching dashboard.

Activities now open into a much richer view with route maps, interactive graphs, key stats, heart rate zones, workout execution gauges, interval breakdowns and training load impact.

Scheduled workouts now also show the full workout structure and projected training status for that day, so you can better understand what is planned and what shape you are expected to be in.

:bullseye: Workout target priority settings

LeCoach now has its own workout target priority settings for ride, run and swim.

This matters because Intervals.icu decides whether a workout shows up on your watch/head unit as power, pace or HR targets based on this priority order.

For example, some running workouts were appearing as HR-based Garmin workouts because the user’s Intervals setting was Power > HR > Pace. Switching to Pace > Power > HR makes the same workout show as a pace-target workout.

You can now manage this more easily from LeCoach Workout Settings, with recommended settings per sport.

:repeat_button: Reprocess workouts

There is now a manual option to reprocess workouts from LeCoach to Intervals.icu.

Most users will never need this, but it can help in edge cases — for example if a plan was created when FTP or threshold pace was not set correctly in Intervals.icu.

:white_check_mark: Habits, tasks and wellness settings in the day view

You can now manage habits/tasks and user-reported wellness fields like soreness and motivation directly from the day view via the settings icon.

:hammer_and_wrench: Also improved

We also shipped better context handling in coaching conversations, faster and more reliable plan updates, clearer plan change summaries, improved AI response reliability, dark mode table fixes, and a lot of backend reliability work.

As always, if you run into anything strange please let me know here in the thread. If you have feedback or an idea for a new feature: add it to the LeCoach feedback board!

I started using LeCoach yesterday and am wondering if I can also adjust my training plan through the menu.I wanted to change my preferred days for intense workouts, but I couldn’t make any changes in the Overview section. I was able to do it through the chat, though.
Still, it would be nice if I could make changes through the menu as well.

Hi Thanks for trying out LeCoach,

Currently there are two ways in which you could change which days are the hard days: drag and drop workouts yourself in the calendar or indeed ask LeCoach to make structural changes.

Would that work or is there a specific reason you’d like to do it from settings? And any other stuff you’d like to change there?

Making the change via chat worked. No problem.

I was just wondering why you can change some settings in the plan via the menu, but not all of them.
Personally, I prefer making changes via the menu rather than via chat.

Is there a way to remove the “by LeCoach app” from all pushed workout titles? I would understand if this is done during trial period for free users. But as a subscriber I find it annoying to manually edit the title after every workout completion.

Hi Sander, I’ll make a setting for that.

Quick update: this week I’ll be riding Maratona dles Dolomites so all focus is on that this week. Will pick up new feature development from next week again.

Ok ok I found a bit of spare time and got v1.290 live with one new feature, simply cause I needed it myself haha!

:new_button: New

  • The plan health signal “Status overreaching” is now excluded for race-day and the 2 day’s following race-day. Since a race often has massive load you will naturally enter overreaching zone so this is intentional and should not fire a plan health signal.

Greetings from Italy, Sella Ronda!

love it !! what a view 1

LeCoach keeps forgetting my FTP values and is recommending wrong workout goals because of it. I have outdoor 60 minute power based on best efforts at 274w and my indoor ftp set at 255w. Today I asked LeCoach to check the power targers for my indoot sweet ride today and it came back and based the ranges on the outdoor ftp. (we have previously covered the differences several times). When I asked LeCoach to re-think based on the correct ranges it then came back and said “yes sorry, based on your correct indoor ftp of 274w and outdoor ftp of 288w…” If LeCoach isn’t able to maintain a correct sense of base FTP values I start to worry about the advice received. How can I ensure LeCoach is locked in on this?

thanks!
Luke

Note, while I had these values added in the User profile, I have now added the same into the ‘Memory’ LeCoach said that I had “told” it I had a 288 FTP but when I asked for clarity of when that was I got this reply:

"I apologize for that error. I’ve re-checked your profile and memory, and you are correct: you never stated an outdoor FTP of 288W.

I see where the confusion came from. Your Power Zones in the database are currently calculated using 105% of FTP for the top of Zone 3 (Tempo), which happens to be 288W. I incorrectly pulled that zone boundary and labeled it as your “Outdoor FTP” in my last message. Thank you for catching that; as a coach, I need to be precise."

It happens quite often that changes suggested by the chat, with a request for approval, simply do not appear in the calendar preview. I believe things are still going wrong with the rendering, and it is quite frustrating to have to spend a lot of time on this, or even have to start all over again after a page refresh. Can this be made more stable?

Hi @Luke_H regarding the power targets this is how it currently works:

  1. LeCoach itself always makes workouts as %ftp targets. This is intentional to accommodate for users who have for example different ftp set in zwift/indoor vs garmin/outdoor. So when your ftp is 300 on zwift and 250 in garmin for example a 50%ftp target will be 150w in zwift and 125w on your garmin. So they will thereby be automatically adjusted to the setting on the platform/device you’re using at any time.
  2. LeCoach also shows the absolute ftp targets in the workout chart and indeed this can currently only be based on the ftp setting active in LeCoach. But this is really more for reference. In LeCoach we currently don’t distinguish between indoor and outdoor. So that would indeed show wattages based on that number. But when you do the workout it will be always based on the setting on that platform.

In the future we might distinguish between indoor and outdoor and if we do I can also show the wattage based on indoor vs outdoor ftp.

could you please add this to lecoach.featurebase.app

Thanks!

Hi Gianni, could you please email info@ with the a screenshot of those messages so i can investigate further?

We are continuously improving chat and especially making plan changes but this is highly complex so any input is very much appreciated.

As a general tip I would recommend asking lecoach to process the edits for example one week at a time so that the change request does not become too big to handle.

I will also try to add protective mechanisms so LeCoach itself also tries to steer it into this direction.

Hi everyone, found some time this evening to do some smaller new features and improvements that were highly requested. So here is V1.291

:new_button: New

  • Delete activities: you can now delete an activity directly from the day view using the three-dot menu next to the activity name
  • Activity type tagging: also via the three-dot menu, you can now mark an activity as a commute, race, cooldown or warmup — useful for keeping your training log clean and accurate. If an activity was linked to a planned workout and you mark it as a commute, it will automatically be unlinked (activities already recorded as a commute were never auto-linked anyway, that stays the same)

:sparkles: Improved

  • Feel emoji icons have been redesigned to be more distinct and easier to tell apart at a glance
  • RPE is now colour-coded — green for easy sessions, red for hard ones — so you can read the effort level instantly without squinting at the number
  • Day view on mobile improved so that link icons are no longer obscured or blocked by other elements
  • Recovery section in the day view redesigned: the mini charts for HRV, resting HR, sleep and sleep score now clearly position today’s value relative to your 7-day and 28-day averages, making it much easier to see whether today is above or below your recent baseline

This all makes sense and the logic approach is great, i love that LeCoach clearly sees indoor and outdoor powers separately and plans around it, but can you share any reason why LeCoach is getting these values wrong some of the time such as in my example where it is hallucinating an outdoor ftp value, and also applying outdoor ftp for it’s %'s for an indoor workout, that required me to spot and troubleshoot, and explain back to LeCoach

Great! Thank you for adding the ‘delete’ option, it really helps keep the calendar and history all neat and correct. The red “Untitled” events I was stuck with don’t seem to delete, I get an error. See attached.

Ahh thanks for catching this Luke, i believe because those are strava activities next to us not being able to see the data strava also blocks us deleting or editing it. I’ll get this fixed.

Hi @Rutger , I have a question regarding the activity maps. I can’t seem to get them to show up for regular outside rides. For Zwift rides it works just fine. Any idea why this might happen? I did verify that the maps are present in Intervals.
