Joe Friel's LTHR test (Run training)

So i did a LTHR test following the Joe Friel’s “guide” from http://www.trainingbible.com/joesblog/2009/11/quick-guide-to-setting-zones.html
Now i havent done a test like this before, and i must say that my results are higher than i expected. This was my plan during the run; I started the first 10 min at a pace around 4:55min/km because that is around what i run at for a 10k, after 10 min i pushed harder to find a pace i felt i could hold out for the next 20 min. Trying to simulate a negative split.
What do you guys think about my run? Do you see anything i did wrong, or does this look right?

Your test looks fine. I think you can consider it a valid result. You probably won’t get the “exact” value of your LTHR from a test like this, but it’s a good enough approximation (±5 bpm). Some authors recommend you to remove 5% of the last 20min avg hr and then use this value as your LTHR. I particularly prefer this approach for being more conservative. Anyway, congrats for the accomplishment.
