Intervals -> Garmin Connect / Target values only as averages instead of Live Power

Hi everyone,

For the past few days, my interval workouts have been incorrectly transmitted to Garmin Connect, or Garmin is changing them.

Here’s an example workout:

  • 15m 67% (180W) FTP

2x

  • 10m 85% (229W) FTP
  • 5m 67% (180W) FTP
  • 30m 67% (180W) FTP

When I go to Workouts → Training Plan → “Test” workout on my Garmin device, the workout details are displayed. The following data is shown:

• 15-minute average power output 175-185W
• 10-minute average power output 223-235W
…and so on.

The problem is this: On the workout view (the data page for the workout - not configurable), I now only see the average power output instead of live power or 3-second power, which isn’t ideal in some situations.

This problem is new and has only been occurring for a few days, and I don’t know why it’s happening.

Is Intervals.icu transmitting the data differently than usual? Is the problem with Garmin?

Perhaps you can help me with this.
