What kind of intervals do peope prefer or think work best now it’s coming into the autumn season in the northern hemisphere? From my reading I get the feeling just riding base all winter is probably not the best thing to do and keeping some intervals at least once a week can be good to keep things ticking over. Do people do VO2 max intervals, 30/15s or similar? Or is this a good time to do some longer threshold efforts, maybe some higher torque tempo efforts instead? I know everyone will have their own preferences on this, but it would be interesting to hear what others do when planning for my own autumn and into winter.

It depends… who you speak to, and what your own gold are.
Neal Henderson, Wahoo, will recommend some sprint efforts.
Frank Overton will recommend progressive strength work (gym) and some riding over a 10 week period.”
