Import all data from Strava

When you say the Strava archive import failed, what happened? I just had a look at your calendar and you have activities from the import (example this one). Click Options and tick the “Source” box on the calendar. The ones marked “Upload” are likely from the import. You can confirm by clicking through and seeing if they link to Strava.

Morning David
Most of the activities say Zwift, some Strava and a few say upload where I’ve had to manually upload the data.Of late, with many of the activities I’ve done on Zwift they have not been automatically transferred across to Intervals and I’ve had to download the .fit file from Strava and import it. Would this be linked to why the data from the link hasn’t been uploaded? The link is for 5 years of data and barring a few that I uploaded manually for rides for the last few months in 2024 there’s no previous data

Hmm. You are not currently connected to Zwift. However I can see from the logs that you were recently and disconnected 30 mins or so ago.

You have Strava configured to only download “Ride” and “Walk” so the "Virtual Ride"s from Zwift via Strava are being ignored. You need to re-connect Zwift and tick “Download Activities” and make sure the filter is “all activities”. Then re-enable Strava downloads for everything. Intervals.icu will replace the Strava rides with the ones from Zwift and link them together.

The Zwift integration doesn’t support history but new activities should come in.

Did you receive an email from Intervals.icu with a log of what was done for the Strava archive import? It says:

Ignoring activity types not in [Ride, Walk]

So you had that filter on when you ran it. Better to just do “all activities” so your Zwift history will load.

You need to request a new download file from Strava. You won’t get duplicates. Also remember that the import can take a long time (hours).

Thanks for that David
Looks like I have to wait a few days for a new download link from Strava but as soon as I can I will do so

I’ve imported all my data from strava, and this made all my intervals activities available through the API
I’ve kept strava connected, and also Garmin connected.
However, after my Sunday ride, I now have the activity synced with intervals, but this new activity is not available on the intervals api… is it marked as ‘strava’ via api, and therefore not coming through? my Garmin and Strava are both enabled, I was expecting that future activities (post full import) would be coming through the API given I have Garmin also enabled.

How can i get new activities automatically available through intervals API given that i have both Garmin and Strava enabled? or will i always have to manually import so that it is available through intervals API?

Thanks

Both Garmin and Strava were having some problems yesterday so it is possible the webhook from Garmin was not delivered or lost. Your Saturday ride came in from Garmin without issues. I suggest waiting to see what happens with the next ride. If that works then just download the missed one from Garmin Connect.

These kinds of issues are very rare.
