How to improve zone2 watt/kg

Hi guys…
Due to my specific situation I have to concentrate on zone2 training. Had retina detachment and a surgery to fix it. Doctor recommended that I would not exceed 135-140 hr when I start training after 3 weeks off. At least for some time.
So how do I go about zone2 training? How much time could it take to improve from 2,4 w/kg now (Apr for 2 hours) to say 3-3,3? I had 3 in summer but had to interrupt training several times.
Assume I have come across those recommendations of ISM.

There are many variables to improving your zone 2 power by almost 1 watt per kg to give you even an approximate answer. If for example you weigh 100kg you need an extra 100w, so it will take you over a year to get there, maybe never though.

Assuming you weigh around 70kg, it is still a huge jump, but if you were at that level in the summer at least you know it is possible.

I would suggest you ride your hours per week and note the improvement, personally I would be happy with just a small amount of watts per week. They all add up!
