This is a bit of a guess but I think Intervals needs Power or HR for rides. It has no Zone settings for riding Pace/Speed. For runs, pace zones exist.
What happens if you click on the activity icon ‘Cycle’ and change it to Run? Are you then able to add an interval? That would confirm my thinking.
@david will have to check on this because this is out of my knowledge.
You’re right! It works as I wanted once I change it to a Run.
Interestingly, after changing it, since some intervals now exist on this “Run”, I can change it back to Ride and it works fine to create more intervals manually. I guess it’s a bit of a hack to get around the “no intervals detected” error.
Would you say this is a bug? I understand why zones based on pace would not make full sense for cycling, but in this instance I wanted to create intervals just to look at my change in average pace over the entire session. So I think it would be a nice to have feature just for the data visualisation aspect. Happy to hear your thoughts @david
Thanks for your help @MedTechCD!
For rides Intervals.icu needs power or heart rate to be present to enable interval editing. For runs pace is supported once you have configured threshold pace and zones in /settings. I need to make it possible to define intervals without configuring pace for cycling.
I am not able to get any dragging working. The cursor switches to the double arrow, but when trying to drag the intervals nothing happens. Is it still working like expected (I am on Chrome Browser)?
