I noticed that the training load value is an average between (heart rate tss and Tss of training peaks); how is it calculated? is the relative effort of Strava?
Training load from power is calculated in the same way as Training Peaks except that “not moving time” is excluded. So no TSS earned while in the coffee shop. If your FTP is the same and you didn’t stop then the number should be very close. Intervals.icu does some automatic power cleaning which might cause some differences.
For HR Intervals.icu has several models, the default is HRSS (normalised TRIMP) from Elevate. You can try different models in /settings. I am not sure how TP calculates hrTSS.
I don’t know how Strava relative effort is calculated but for me is always much higher than Intervals.icu training load.
Also you can configure how much of the training load is applied to fitness and fatigue for different sports. Some activities like weight training raise your HR but don’t help cardio fitness.
Hi, just discovered intervals! My TP yearly subscription just ended so interested in different options…and Intervals seem really nice.
First thing that clearly differs is that in TP I can make separate analytics sheets for different sports. Will that ever be possible in Intervals? This is important as ones fitness differs between sports and aggregate fitness does not show sport specific fitness
That said, Intervals looks really good
