I’m coaching trail running.
Therefore, I am not sure how to calculate the cumulative elevation setting and target race prediction time to create a workout.
Accumulation is not considered when creating trail run workouts,
There will be a difference in fatigue between the workout that you have set up and the workout that the player has done.
You can also,
Please let me know if there is a function that can be used for trail running.
I haven’t been able to use it yet.
I’m also testing Intervals during my EcoTrail training plan… What I’ve done, is to create a filter for “Trail Run” activity type, and then I display specific metrics. Feel free to share best practice and tips.
What I’d be interested to display, is also the ratio Elevation/Distance? During my week-end long trail runs, I try to stay close to what I will have during my upcoming race. Right now each time I have to calculate this on the side.
Overall, I’d say Intervals has been designed for cyclists from the start, therefore yes to a certain extent it can be used for running, and if you then try to use it for trail running, this is one further step which makes is challenging.
