Help using Wahoo Kickr, Zwift and Intervals.icu workouts

No takers on r/cycling so looking for help here. Was very comfortable 2023-24 riding with TP workouts on Zwift. Not working as well this winter, don’t know if issue is with Zwift , Kickr or the workouts I created.

So my workouts, created on Intervals.icu, show up on Zwift. I select them and ride my Kickr. Usually near a step (change in power ERG Mode) my cadence reading will double. I can not-record cadence, let the error disappear over time or come to a complete stop then restart pedaling to clear the error.

Today, no issues with doubling cadence, but at points during the ride measured power (@ correct ERG Watts) was 1/2 to 1/3rd of effort to pedal. I mean standing to turn-over 110w. Also cadence comfort started normal (90 Z1) but became more difficult (55 z2) sometimes on 8% climbs, other times -1% grades. Had to switch out of ERG when over powered, return was OK but I still experienced difficulty reaching typical cadence.

Note: no cadence targets in any Intervals. Icu workout

This seems like a trainer issue. Since cadence is not controllable by any app or device.

You don’t say which Kickr you have, but have you tried a calibration? https://support.wahoofitness.com/hc/en-us/articles/204281794-Spindown-Calibration-for-KICKR-v4-2018-earlier-models-and-CORE

Tks I’ll press Wahoo Support

Found a similar article for newer Kickrs, mine is V5. No link as the article is in the Wahoo App.
