Yes unfortunately Garmin stopped sending activities from non-Garmin devices to apps like Intervals.icu in April 2021. You need to get Zwift activities via Strava or Dropbox.
Muchas gracias
Hola David tengo un problema similar, un compañero no puede ver las actividades panificadas en Intervals para Garmin, y otro tiene para mtb Garmin y para Ruta Wahoo, los dos asociados y no puede ver las actividades. Alguna sugerencia? Gracias
Upload of planned workouts to Garmin Connect is working as far as I know. Your friend needs to tick the “Upload planned workouts” box in Garmin in /settings and that should be it.
I am not familiar with “Garmin MTB” and “Wahoo Route” but activities from non-Garmin devices are not sent to Intervals.icu.
What about activities that are sync both from strava and Garmin. Will they remain in intervals.icu if you ever have to delete the data from strava?
Intervals.icu will generally delete the Strava activity if there is a matching Garmin activity (optionally using the Strava name and copying the segments) so its ok if the Strava one gets deleted properly at some point.
Is this same for Wahoo activities?
If Wahoo and Strava than Wahoo, Strava mostly ignored ?
Currently I sync Garmin and Wahoo activities, disabled Strava sybc after all this rubbish with Strava lately. Plan to abandon Strava completely.
Thanks
Yes basically anything non-Strava is preferred over Strava activities because Strava doesn’t include things like L/R balance and so on.
i have a question regarding sync. Yesterday i did a workout on wahoo systm , which is syncing to strava and garmin. Strava and garmin are set to sync to intervals.icu , but only strava was synced . Shouldnt it be overwritten by the garmin sync ?
Systm by itself should show up as wahoo as well
He does not sync Wahoo with intervals directly, even though that is best option.
He goes Wahoo → Strava → Garmin and gets activity from Strava.
AFAIK Garmin won’t upload activity if it is not genuilny Garmin, I’m my book that is good thing.
Solution is to sync directly from Wahoo and Garmin and avoid Strava sync.
If you need GC to see Wahoo activities leave theurllir connection it won’t make problems for intervals.
Hi , thanks for your replies . I go Wahoo to Strava , and wahoo to garmin. I thought i could have both , the names from strava and the good data from garmin. But the second part explains it . So , when i sync from Wahoo to Garmin it is not synced to Intervals then right ?
Sounds like it. Garmin wont allow 3rd party data over their api. But as garmin won’t sync your wahoo stuff to intervals, just sync wahoo to both intervals and garmin. That way you’re all good. Without strava
You can setup direct sync from Wahoo to Intervals.icu (added a few months ago). If you also sync from Strava Intervals.icu will keep the Strava name and segments.
Thanks. Yes I realized the same now. I think I got confused when i synced some old workouts from Wahoo via the settings and previous strava synced workouts (coming originally from wahoo) got the name from Wahoo.
Sorry for the thread bump but trying to avoid a new thread. I wanted to get L/R power into intervals.
I use an Apple Watch for running/hiking/yoga/weights etc then a Garmin for outside biking.
I’ve setup Strava as the “feed” for intervals, if I also connect Garmin Connect will Garmin cycling activities (with L/R power on GC) overwrite Strava activities?
Intervals will prefer the Garmin Connect FIT file because it has more data (like L/R). The Strava activity will remain linked and Intervals will use some of the extra info that you can get from Strava and not from Garmin (activity name for example). You will not get duplicates, Intervals handles this Garmin/Strava combination perfectly and the result is max information combined from both sources.
thank you, sounds just what I need
This thread was quite helpful.
I’m going to probably stop using Strava for my data feed soon but want to make sure I do this correctly like the OP.
I find that if I start to use wahoo - intervals duplicates entries (respects both wahoo and Strava). Rightfully so I believe as my bolt pushes to both Strava and wahoos cloud based service.
So two files at the exact same timestamp are pulled in from two sources and doubles the training load etc.
So short question: how do I cut over safely to wahoo as the source of truth for my fitness data into intervals without this duplication issue?
If u don’t want to have Strava data here. Just deselect download Strava data.
But if you want the names from Strava to be here, then select keep names in sync or something like that.
Basically it just stops intervals from reaction to stravas notification that there is new data for user X.
