Garmin Training Load (EPOC) vs CIL?

Hi - I’ve been experimenting with using CIL along with CTL to track fitness and load. I’ve found the combination very helpful.
I was trying to make sense of some Garmin data and realized that Garmin calculates an Exercise Load based on Firstbeat analytics that they say is EPOC-based. Reading some of the descriptions, it seems like it’s more analogous to CIL in that it’s more sensitive to intensity vs duration. For a recent ride I did, it was quite different than either TSS or HRSS.

Does anyone have any thoughts on this? Can Intervals capture this value for an activity? I found the attached white paper on it but haven’t had a chance to read it yet.

This would be also very interesting for me!
I’m using EPOC on the Garmin and can show it in the Charts of an activity… but don’t know if it’s possible to show it on the Fitness-Page… for example to show the power/EPOC of activities over time !?
