sorry, I’m a little confused with what we’re trying to find now
Date | As Is | 7 Day | ||
---|---|---|---|---|
Today (Fri 2) | -0.6 | -3.1 | ||
Sat 3 | -0.6 | -2.4 | ||
Sun 4 | -3.2 | -2.2 | ||
Mon 5 | -3.1 | -1.9 |
Interesting…
Fitness Page:
AS IS (today) -1.1. (Sunday) 0.8
7DRAMP (today) -1.1 (Sunday) 4.9
You can see the Divergent after today. (Sunday I have a planned 221 DailyLoad)
Activities Page:
Ramp = 4.9
I’ve been having a play adding manual activities with various loads and it seems what the watch shows is the ‘as is’ value for the sunday of the week (albeit with differing rounding now and then)
I think ramp should always be ‘as is’ because it’s just this weeks fitness - same day last week, not sure why 7d is default on custom charts
worth doing the fitness differences to see what it should be for today and sunday
The watch app takes the ramp from the intervals.icu API. It doesn’t do any additional calculation on that figure. The figure the API provides is from the user’s profile, and I believe it represents the ramp for the week, so the figure as it will be on the last day of the current week.
Which API path is that?
I’ve checked /api/v1/athlete/%s/wellness?
and the sunday figure does match that of the watch and /api/v1/athlete/34946614/athlete-summary?
I’m assuming you didn’t use athlete summary as that has fit&fat for week-end rather than today’s
Love this app, got real potential
My requests are:
With the first one ideally it would match the user’s preferences for units as API is in metres but I’d prefer miles
I’ve thought about making a garmin app but never looked into it, if you think there’s anything I could help with let me know, I’m familiar with APIs, R, Python and a little JS
Thanks Ben. I probably would not do anything with the last activity, because I am trying to avoid duplicating information that is already available on your garmin watch. Is there a use case where you couldn’t see all of that information in your garmin activity history anyway?
I only record about 10% of my activities on garmin, most are virtual or wahoo
big use case would be when sat on zwift between sessions I can see my load for the last one to see how much I have remaining to hit my target
Yeah fair enough. You can link zwift to garmin to get all of the activities sync’d. Wahoo is a problem though, I now record on both my watch and my wahoo to make sure garmin is up to date for all of the fitness metrics.
struggling to workout how to do that… how do I disconnect it all? I have tried deleting the app and disconnecting on Garmin Connect but whenever I redownload the app and load it back onto my watch - it still just says null…
Strange! Can you follow me please and I will PM you
James - I love the idea of this widget! I just got the Instinct 2 watch not too long ago and was really excited to see this widget but it doesn’t look like it is supported for my watch. Is there any plan for this in the future?
Looks like it does support glance widgets, so I’ll give it a quick test and upload it if all is OK.
Thanks James. Let me know if I can help on my end.
I have tested it, but unfortunately the screen real estate is just far too limited for the amount of information shown in the widget.
Dang, all good. Thanks for giving it a shot!
Nice Job!!!
Is there any chance to use it with Edge devices? Some time in the future?
Thanks!
I have a Venu but I don’t see widget in the IQstore. Is correct? Thanks
