I’m in the process of trying to abandon WKO5 and built the needed metrics in Intervals. I’m curious if there is already a way to show athlete history, on say an athlete history page? While this isn’t pretty I’m trying to have something like the below chart, where I can record and chart weight, bike power, swim threshold, etc. over time.
I had the same thought over the weekend, while cleaning up some data.
I would be nice to have a table with dates showing when FTP/LTHR/weight was manually changed. I picked up that manually added activities (when moving away from Strava-linked activities) that the FTP was based on the current setting, and not the setting at the time of the activity.
+1. I would also suggest adding a note field. (date, FTP value, notes). I’m migrating my coaching service to Intervals and it’s confusing to set older values (for almost anything - FTP, weight, etc).
We can use the note field to remember how and why we’ve got that FTP update, protocol, etc, or even link to an specific activity that contains whatever you have done that calls for a FTP update.
Interesting thread because actually I was thinking to purchase WKO5 so I’m after feedback from advanced users who perhaps could do the same but in Intervals
I’ve been using WKO4 since 2016. The only reason I upgraded (to WKO5), was because the support from TP stopped on 31 July 2020. Files stopped auto-syncing, butthe software could still be used without the auto-download.
It still has it’s use, but as Intervals gets better and better, the need to WKO5 gets less and less. I probably won’t upgrade to the next version; whatever format it’s in, possibly with some AI, who knows?
I’ve never loved WKO but agree with the sentiment of the improvements and potential for Intervals. Literally just a couple more things and I’m going to fully make the switch.
Thanks so your flow was TP > WKO5 for analysis, and do you then switch completely to Intervals or you’d keep TP in the background? Sorry for the offtopic question.
Thank you for sharing this information with us.
I’ve been using Intervals from the day David announced it on a local bike forum just over 6 years ago.
I’ve been using WKO4 and WKO5 for 8.5 years (combined). Most of my older athletes have a TP account, so I get their data on WKO with every refresh.
I encourage my athletes to sync from their Garmin/Wahoo rather than Strava. Some aren’t serious about their training (club members) so it’s not really critical that I have the original data.
The biggest problem is that WKO is that it can only be installed on one computer, and is not web-based. So I can only view data when I am home, at the computer it’s installed on. Data syncs each time it opens, from TP, providing the user is linked (my older athletes). There are some good charts (athlete and activity level) that that is not available currently in Intervals, so as it’s paid for (upfront licence) it’s a tool I use when required.
