Got this back from Microsoft after quite a bit of back and forth:
As previously stated, your IP’s (…) do not qualify for mitigation at this time. I do apologize, but I am unable to provide any details about this situation since we do not have the liberty to discuss the nature of the block.
We regret that we are unable to provide any additional information or assistance at this time.
So after more than a year of successfully delivering mail to Microsoft domains no such luck now. I am going to investigate using a 3rd party service to send these mails.
Thanks for the feedback David. As always the answer from Microsoft doesn’t help much…
Anyway, I successfully received email from this topic forum update, that means I’ll receive email when I increase power during my ride or it’s different emailing system??
The problem isn’t with the domain. Some hotmail/whatever users have flagged mail from Intervals.icu as spam so my IP’s have gone onto the MS blacklist.
I created an account yesterday with a Hotmail address and cannot verify the account because of this issue. My password manager also didn’t save the credentials during account creation, so I don’t know what the password to that account is and have no way to reset it.
If you can’t fix things on the Hotmail end, maybe you should disallow account creation for email addresses that contain “hotmail.com” in a programmatic way. Help text advising people not to use Hotmail might also be good, but people don’t read help text.
Maybe disallow all of those domains? They don’t actually allow your user to manage their account, so folks shouldn’t use them. Or come up with an alternative account confirmation/reset that doesn’t require email.
I’m currently using 1Password v6.8.9 on macOS 11.1
During the first Hotmail account creation process I filled out all of the fields and clicked the “Signup” button with my mouse. Chrome offered to save the credentials (which I always decline) but 1Password was silent. I figure no worries, I’ll just reset the password and then manually create a login.
During creation of the second “b_morgan” account, I accidentally hit the “return” key after entering my max heart rate, which triggered 1Password to create a login and I saved it. Your account creation form did not submit though, which was great, and I was able to continue filling it out and then click “Signup”.
