Seems to be fixed ![]()
Thanks!
Surprisingly Apple took VERY little time in approving this for official release. Tx for the report / update and help
Thanks again for all your work on this, still enjoying the app ![]()
Noticed a strange quirk recently - when the app is open I see a bluetooth device called [Device Information] RIOTAE1666. Then when I’m in a workout I periodically get a “Low Battery 0%” pop-up warning for this device. A minor inconvenience but I thought I would let you know.
I like that the battery info has been added but I’m not crazy about the pop-up messages every time the battery drops another 1%.
Congrats @app4g for the app! I like it very much!
I only have one problem: the speed displayed during training is too high. I use a Tacx Smart Flow trainer and I added a speed sensor to try to correct the speed, and it appears connected, but the speed is still too high. I get the impression that it’s still displaying the trainer’s speed, not the sensor’s. What can I do to fix this?
Your trainer looks like a Wheels On Trainer. Is there a Power meter?
For Speed, what the app does is it translate Power data into Speed Data (using a math model using gravity / weight / power)
Indoors, a Speed Sensor isn’t really going to do much. Unless you’re using SpeedPower? This setting is for NON-Interactive trainers and no power meter.
What sort of speed are you seeing?
The trainer does measure power, and I use the smart trainer mode and then resist mode.
For example, this morning I did VO2 Max session with intervals around 300W at a 5% slope, and it showed around 40 km/h…
300w at 5%, assuming a default of 75kg, you’re right 40kmh is way too high.
Can you collect some logs?
How to get Logs
- go to SETTINGS
- put “loglevel10” (without quotes) to the Developer Box all the way at the bottom
- execute a workout. YOu just need to do like between 30s. Kindly make sure that you see the power / speed data before you stop. (and save)
- go to HISTORY tab, send me the file called “LogDebugLog” I think and the generated fit file.
you can send them to the “Help & Support” email / app4g(dot)devel at gmail
Went thru the code and realised that I fixed this issue on my development branch for quite some time already, so it didn’t surface up when I was doing my workouts.
If this is something you want now, instead of waiting for me to push the official release (could be a month or more as I’m finishing up on something big) then please let me know and I’ll get you on the BETA.
