Best way to capture running FTP for intervals

hey there, I’m new to running and this week did my first run with the new garmin wrist power. then, saw the message from intervals for me to try to capture the threshold to use the new metrics here.

which are the usual protocols to do it with power? I only know some for pacing. is it the same from cycling here? is best to set a lower one here that I know I’ll beat just to be updated on a future test protocol?

search for 30m all out protocol for testing hr treshold. You take hr avg from last 20m, and 0.95% ofpower from last 20m should be your FTP. But keep in mind wrist power when running is kind of a virtual measure (at least compating to cycling power where sensor is measuring exact power of your push) so try to make the test in as neutral condition (temp, wind, flattnes) as possible

thanks, but what I meant was if the algorithm used by intervals to evaluate eFTP also works for running power. if it does, will it work from scratch, with no FTP set? i mean, for example an all out 3-8min effort.
