Apple Watch Series 3

I got an Apple Watch. I want to start doing heart rate training. Does intervals find out my threshold and max heart rate for me? It would be really helpful. Thank you.

I’ve done a few workouts with my Apple Watch, running only. It gave me all the same info my Garmin would normally give me, so I believe you should be okay.

My HR wrist-based is very close to a strap based. I have tested all concurrently, so can confirm the accuracy for me is acceptable.

Yes it will. It uses 98% of your highest 20m HR as threshold HR and notifies you if that goes up. Then you can decide to change your HR zones or not.

For max HR you need to start with a high guess because Intervals.icu considers HR over max to be spikes and clips them. Then you need to look at the trace and decide if the HR is real or a device error. If real then bump up your max HR to get rid of the spikes.
