Amazfit (Zepp) support available

Please, Can I take this opportunity to ask you a new question?.
While recording a workout with Helio, started from the Zepp app, does the band still count steps? Or does it stop counting steps and prioritize the workout, whatever it is?

It still counts steps, records HR, exertion and so on. From my 3-4 weeks of experience with the band, activity recording is optional and doesn’t affect any 24/7 metric. Make sure you have exertion mode “workouts + daily activities” ON

magnificent. thank you very much :+1:

Perfect, solved with rule ‘Ignore Velocity’

Perfect, I just upload another activity and yes, all fix. Thx

Now the question is: if while I’m cycling, recording the ride with a chest strap associated with the iPhone Cadence App that records all the running data, and at the same time I leave the Helio on my arm, will the calorie consumption data be added together or merged once everything is transferred to Strava and/or Intervals.icu?

Merged - what with what? Are you going to start the activity on Helio Strap (app)? I don’t think anything will be merged

Tldr: my actual daily “physiological load” is higher than the workouts I track throughout the day and not reflected in intervals.

Quick question out of curiosity: might there be any option to get “total daily load” from the zepp app? I’m asking because as I’m wearing my helio strap 24/7, eg if I walk up 5 flights of stairs my hr climbs but I’m unlikely to be recording a workout. I have no idea whether that’s useful information from a training perspective.

Hi David,
Do you think it’ll be possible in the near future to integrate Zepp into Intervals, In addition to the data already automatically synced, it could also include:
BioCharge - (total calories for the day) - Macronutrients consumed?
That would be wonderful!

I also have a question:
When I record a CrossTraining workout with Zepp, it displays as Run in Intervals. Could this be fixed so that it at least displays as CrossFit?

I record my bike ride with Cadence on my iPhone with a chest heart rate monitor, and leave Helio on my arm to monitor normally, without starting any activity on Zepp.
Since even if I import the activity recorded with Cadence into Zepp, it won’t take into account the estimates and physiological changes from the imported files. But since I’ve kept Helio on my arm to monitor, I’ll also have energy expenditure, Biocharge changes, etc. in Zepp.
Is that correct?
When switching to intervals, will the calories be merged together or added together?

Hi, I see that Intervals.icu isn’t detecting the training intervals on my device (Balance 2). I created the workout with Zepp (currently, it’s not possible to sync planned workouts from ICU to Zepp).

However, I’ve been checking and Strava does show up and correctly detect the intervals.

I’m showing screenshots to improve my explanation.

*Here we can see how it does not match and does not auto-detect the activity intervals with the planned training.

*Activity result on Strava

In case you need to consult the activity, I leave the ID: i98918025

There is another post mention this. It seems that Zepp doesn‘t provide laps for intervals, but does it for strava.

What you can try:
1 Check if there are laps with: Action → Use Laps
If there are laps, consider setting the „Use Laps“ and „Keep all laps“ option in the settings box of your activity type.
2 If there are no laps, use your workout as laps: Action → Analyze → Check the “Use workout steps for laps” and uncheck all other checkboxes.

  1. No laps detected when use ‘Action → Use Laps’
  2. Action → Analyze → Check the “Use workout steps for laps”

Result:

I try diferents options from ‘Analyze’ and no one works fine for me.

Ok, I had to use the bottom three options to create intervals from the workout

Thanks for your answers, but it still doesn’t work.

I just finished a new run and this time I tried not using a planned workout, but using “manual laps” by pressing the button, and the same thing happens. It reads it fine in Strava, but not in intervals.icu.

I assume it’s something about the integration that David will review

The above checked options require a planned workout to get you the result you’re after!

I’ve tried both methods. I have an activity with a planned workout (done with the Zepp app), and then I have another activity (today’s) where I’ve done a “free activity” but I’ve manually marked some laps with the button.

In neither activity do the detected intervals appear as laps.

*I’m a bit confused as I come from a cycling background and with my Wahoo GPS my workouts match up perfectly with ICU

Again, if you have a workout, select the three bottom options, and they should create intervals your workout steps. If you have no workout, that won’t work obviously.

Regarding your activities with using laps:

As I said above. He looked in the original file, and there were no laps. But they were present in Strava.
So either these laps are not recognized by intervals.icu and stripped out, if you download “Original File”. Or they are not delivered by Amazfit/Zepp to intervals.

Good morning, I have a Trex 3 pro and it states that it supports training plans however I cannot select any session. I can see the session on the intervals.icu app on my watch but that’s it.

any news to that? or another scale that i can connect and have all the data? thanks!

For me it is the same. The app works great, but I did a test schedule workout for today and I can not find it outside the icu app on the t-rex pro.
But maybe it has something to do with the planned day you create this workout for.
I created a workout on monday, that I scheduled for tuesday. This workout appeared automatically on my t-rex 3 pro (on tuesday).
So maybe there is only a problem with workouts created and planned for the same day?!
If so, a fix would be nice.

By the way: great work! I want to test another view things and than I will change to the paid subscription.
