Activity Comparison

Hey David
First of all, my congratulations for this effective training analysis tool.

I think an activity comparison would be beneficial for evaluating progress.
Différent activities for the same workout might be compared.

Is something you already planned ?

Thanks for you work !!!

Hi agree with this, I already ask for the possibility for outdoor rides, but it is valid too indoor

Yes that is on the todo list. At the moment you have to use multiple browser windows

Adding my name to this wishlist. The more athletes I coach with Intervals.icu the more I want to show them comparisons with their previous workouts, for example their weekly Zwift race where we could compare and contrast, say, power curves with previous weeks. My theory is it’d be a useful exercise in viewing their mistakes, their improvements, and correlate that with results and goals.

Adding my voice to the choir. Comparing a select number of workouts to each other would be really helpful. I’d like to compare HR, power, and even lactate and breathing rate if it was possible to add those two metrics within workouts. Thanks!

+1 for me

Bumping this TDL topic again with some input.

I’ve been training #NVDP style (Nils van der Poel) where I hit repeat on the same sessions each week. Duration occasionally gets bumped for one or several of the sessions to build volume. It’s super interesting to track changes (mostly improvements) in power, pace, HR/Power, EF, etc, etc. What I’d like to have is the ability to see those metrics change over time such that each weekly session is added automatically to their associated chart. Creating custom charts on the Activity page doesn’t work since it’s only possible to limit scope by activity type. I want to group by things like: Monday’s “Long Run”, Wednesday’s “Long Swim”, Friday’s “Long Bike”, and so on.

Cheers. :+1:

Perhaps the Auto-inclusion in the various comparison graphs could be maintained via hashtags on workouts?

I know David will produce a far slicker solution in the end. But until then you can do this in https://www.endura.fit
This article describes how to get data into the comparsion section (including linking to Interval), but in this case select similar activities rather than recent ones to compare. www.bluecattechnical.uk/Watts_my_CP.pdf

Thanks for the info. It’s bit involved for my desire. I’ll stick with multiple windows and scrolling until @david comes up with a slick solution. :+1:

Come here with the same idea in mind #NVDP style checking :+1:

I would also like to be able to compare activities, FYI - Garmin connect web has a compare feature but I am sure intervals.icu can do better

You can get the same table view with Intervals.icu activities page in List view, but the ability to see power, speed or heart rate graphs would be cool to compare selected activities.

Here is a screenshot of a yearly run I try to do and what Garmin provides which may give some ideas. It does one cool thing where it shows where you are on the map for each activity you selected.

Here in Intervals.icu, you can see the stats in a table view using a search on the name, and then select whatever fields you are interested in to compare

Cheers
Craig.

This is a feature I’d be interested in if it’s not already possible. to be able to overlay graphs from same regular activities. So if I’m doing a 5km workout each week or the same event every year, to be able compare my performance and any progress or improvement in certain fields.

Adding my +1 for this, would be a great update to a fantastic product.

yes, this would be great! For instance to compare ramp tests…

another +1 on this! would be super useful to track progress

+1 for this feature.

Today’s Plan does this quite nicely. Screenshot for inspiration below (looking at heart rate vs power of two similar workouts a few weeks apart).

I also agree +1

one of the functions I miss in intervals.icu. I am forced to use Golden Cheetah to be able to do this, but I find intervals.icu much more intuitive and less complex than GC
