Yes, another AI Coach... Coach Watts

Ok, but

  1. Nutrition is incorrect. I’m a sports physiologist, and overnight we lose a maximum of 70-80g of liver glycogen.
  2. The workouts created are full of errors! I asked for glycolytic workouts with Z6 repetitions, and he created Z2 repetitions. I’ve been swimming for 96 hours! You always have to check every workout, it’s frustrating.

The same problema! Z6/Z1 workout but Is Z2/Z1

Why my Training Plan has some workout and my calendar another?

On the Activity page, you can see all your workouts regardless of where they came from—whether they were already in Intervals.icu, generated on the fly via chat, or something else. Meanwhile, on the Plan page, you’ll only see workouts that are part of your new plan by default, unless you chose to “adopt” an existing workout during the setup (like a weekly group ride you want to keep). If you want to see everything else, you can just toggle the visibility by clicking the eye icon next to the week tabs.

Regarding your other insights;, it’s true that there are still bugs, and I also understand your frustration, especially when certain functionality is not explained properly. I am doing my best to address all of these issues around the clock as swiftly as possible.

I’ve placed now a more clearer indicators when the nutrition system is still calibrating and if there are planned workouts lacks a starting time. If you have multiple workouts for a day, and none of them have a starting time set for a reason, they stack up at midnight, and the system also accounts that carb loose. So the 300g of carbs overnight is not because it’s overestimating your sleep, it’s because the system thinks that you are doing workouts at that time.

I’ll work on this down the road as I belive it would be better when starting time is not set for these activities the past, similiar activities starting time can be used.

Regarding the activity structures; recently i refactored the activity generator to support nested intervals, and improved the parses which converts intervals icu and coach watts activities back and forth, which introduced several bugs and regression. Yesterday I addressed many of these, but I feel like there are still issues, but for example the “10 min should be 10m” is supposed to be already fixed, but exsiting “published” workouts are not yet re-published, and in some cases planned workouts also needs their structure to be re-generated, as the generator itself was not strict enough when it come to use specific units for steps.

I also added new tools to the chat, which let you modify existing workout structures more precizely instead of just fully regenerating them.

All of these adds to the complexity when it comes to me to understand what is the issue exactly.

That the issue found by @RuiMendes83 is that one of the new tool (adjust workout structure in the chat) is not capable to add repetitions to the structure, because I was mistaken with the schema, and didn’t included that. I’ll deploy a fix for that during the day!

@dday41I think for the workouts where the Intervals.icu parser glitches out, simply re-publishing them usually does the trick. If that doesn’t work, you’ll unfortunately have to re-generate the workout from scratch. I’ll dig deeper into the “zone 1 basically - 3x at 8min at 75% of LTHR” issue during the day. The same true for the "I asked for glycolytic workouts with Z6 repetitions, and he created Z2 repetitions. " and “The same problema! Z6/Z1 workout but Is Z2/Z1”

These adds to the complexity that I don’t know if these were generated after or before this weekend.

Actually the swiming issue which was related to confusion about 100m == 100 minutes and 100 mtrs = 100 meters also supposed to be fixed, which migth need just a republish.

I am so sorry for all the frustration, and thank you so much for bearing with me. I’m incredibly grateful for all of the insights I’ve received from you all—it really keeps me grinding!

I’ll give you all an update soon on the structure generation improvements and the fixes we’ve deployed.

Hello,

I’ve pushed out a few patches that should make the generated workouts a bit better! If any of your current ones look off, just go ahead and click re-generate. Also if they look off (as previously) on intervals, click on publish.

Thanks,
Laszlo

I noticed a mismatch in the “headline score” versus the score in the analysis underneath in the Workout Performance section of Performance tab. Same acroos all the categories after I re-analysed them. Non-urgent as figure in detailed explanation seems correct.

Hi,

The details look correct in the description of the workout in the app looks correct

But when it gets to intervals it looks like the app is trying to add some more context and info that messes up the workout structure (e.g. trying to add the estimated meters confuses the system since it thinks is minutes)

Thanks

Hello hdKiller
what do I need to do to have my data displayed? Thank you!

This is similar to how the Intervals parser will calculate distance if you enter %pace with the “Expand percentages” ticked. But it does not do it for %power & so fault likely not with Intervals but CW trying to imitate its helpfulness.

Thanks, I fixed this. Will be deployed later today!

I really like COACHWATTS but when I ask to send the workouts to Intervals they are totally wrong.. shame because I like the interaction with ChatAi

For example
Threshold and glicolitic Power (Z4/6)

Interesting, it’s seems like consistently fail to create this workout for me as-well. I am looking into it!

I think i managed to patch it:

Generated workout:

This is how it looks like on intervals:

You will need to re-generate the workouts by clicking the regenerate button:

I’ll test this workout on zwift tomorrow.

Thanks for pointing this out to me and sorry that I didn’t get it for the first run!

CW changed my workout well earlier also. The only issue was that initially he only sent the instructions & did not parse the workout. But when specifically asked to do that, & i also asked him to shorten it slightly, then he did a great job. So definitely improving even without having to be too specific now. Thanks for your development & others’ input & patience on this Forum to help finesse what was needed. CW is getting very powerful across a broad range of features now.

@Cooper Finally, I can take your money!

That’s good news, but since I’ve had a chance to test it for a while, I’m not entirely convinced yet. I’ve been trying for 30 minutes now to get the AI to adjust the cadence according to my settings – without success. The fluid intake has increased several times over the past few days (up to 11,800 liters). The AI is changing units without waiting for a “GO” command, etc. So I’ll wait a bit longer and continue testing – sorry!

Hello,
I’ll take a look at these. I’m curious about the cadence change—I recently added some new tools to the chat so the AI can edit workout structures more accurately.

As for the AI making changes without your approval, you can find a toggle for that in the AI Settings:

Thanks for the Info :+1:

First of all thanks for this project of yours. This is really cool and appreciate the effort you’ve put in. Really liking it so far.

Right now, i just noticed some Calendar syncing issue from intervals.icu to Coach Watts. Build One is scheduled on the 23rd but note on calendar was at the 22nd instead. Please see attached screen shots for reference
