I’m working on a collaborative spreadsheet that compiles the main rules and features for creating workouts on Intervals.icu and their compatibility with different devices and platforms. The goal is to provide a practical and up-to-date guide to help everyone configure workouts that work seamlessly across various setups.
The spreadsheet already includes information such as:
File types supported by each device.
Requirements for FTP consistency on the destination platform.
Support for features like ramps, slope mode, prompt text, and more.
Now, I need help to make it more comprehensive:
More devices where workouts can be executed.
Additional rules or variables that may affect workout compatibility.
Platform-specific features not yet included.
Any other relevant details that applies
Please add any info that you know. Feel free to adjust or correct categories, columns, devices and platforms, etc
Here’s the current version of the spreadsheet for review and contributions:
No, please feel free to add any OS, device, or platform you like. My experience and knowledge are limited, so my intention is to kick things off and count on the help of users. Thank you so much!
Sorry, I meant to ask @app4g if BreakAway was ONLY iOS/Mac. @Gabriel_Vargas I did not want to take the liberty to add a column, but maybe a “ICU calendar integration” column would be helpful? Or put that capability in another column?
I don’t even know what that is!
Jokes aside, I believe the best approach is to have a clear and immediate visualization that makes sense and is understandable for a novice or lay user. In fact, as we can already see in the spreadsheet after just a few hours of contributions, it should also serve as a good comparison between different solutions for training execution. So, all information is valuable!
To clarify, I adjusted all the headers. I think I explained it poorly, but the spreadsheet doesn’t refer to the functionalities of each platform.
Instead, it highlights the capabilities of the Intervals workout builder in relation to each device or application.
Allows advancing to the next stage only by pressing the lap button?
(As of today, only Garmin and Suunto)
anyways, BreakAway pulls a lot of things from intervals.icu and I dare say the most complete integration from workouts to calendar to activity details.
What you build in the workout calendar, it will be supported by BreakAway. If it’s not, let me know and I’ll see what can be done. (there are some features which i didn’t even know about like MMP - which I implemented support once I found out about it)
This column refers to the “End when lap button pressed” functionality of the workout builder (please see the image below). This may not be very relevant for indoor training, but it’s crucial for structured training outdoors:
