As a user I wish to see “wind impact on travel direction” chart on the timeline of an activity, similar to that graph at the bottom part of attached pic from zestyrides.com
Clarification: I wish to see it alongside the regular speed and elevation charts on the activity timeline: I wish to understand if over-, or under-perfomance on a given segment is a result of elevation and/or wind-impact or due to my actual crappiness, or awesomeness on that day
Do you have a Garmin device?
If yes, then consider the Ventus data field. The developer is relatively active on the forum.
If not, use the data field that @MedTechCD mentioned.
That one just shows wind angle - the one above (and what I was looking for today) was the wind speed relative to direction of travel, not the wind direction relative to direction of travel. So mathematically, cos(awind) x wind speed. And then I’d call it headwind (to make clear positive value means you’re fighting the wind).
