As of Monday, March 9, my fitness was shown as 70, highest of this year, and as of today that same day is shown as 63…What gives? Strava has been known to screw up my fitness chart once a year so I quit using theirs when this site started.
Without knowing (a little) more, this is hard to answer. Have you been consistently training as before, aimed at improving your fitness, i.e. you have not been taking a recovery or something else, leading to decreased TL? Are your Strava entries all available to intervals.icu, or are some of them marked private?
Doesn’t matter what I did this week after March 9, on the day of that workout, my fitness said 70, and yesterday, March 13th, looking back on that same day shows 63. If my fitness was 70 on March 9, with all the work done to that point, then should my fitness from NOW ON, on that day, no matter if I break a leg and don’t train, be 70??? Apparently I am the only one on this site who keeps a manual log as well, to track changes over time since everyone keeps changing parameters that keep changing your fitness/fatigue/form values.
Okay, if you think that’s the case, I will leave it to @david to explain. I read earlier he was occupied with something else this weekend, I think, but he’ll pick it up.
No worries. I appreciate all you guys do, just wondering why it changed, for the worse.
It shouldn’t go down unless older activities synced and one of the training load for HR models changed or you changed your FTP. But that doesn’t look like the case here. So I can’t explain why it dropped for you, unfortunately.
It’s seemingly been tracking well since I joined over a year ago, so I have no idea either. Guess I will be trying to find something that is consistent. Any ideas on this?
Also just went back to last Sept when my fitness was at it peak which was an 80 on the chart, it still shows that same number… It is something in the last few days that have messed up everything.
