Wellness data: Abdominal circumference

In TrainingPeaks i used to track my abdomen every week. For someone exercising to reach a healthy weight, seeing the circumference (and perhaps skin fold as well?) go down slowly but surely is a great morale boost. I already plot blood pressure and weight on the “Fitness”-page and adding abdominal circumference would be the icing on the cake.

I will add that. For skin fold would it make sense to just add body fat %? Thats what skin fold is used for right?

Yes, skin fold is used to measure body fat %.

Body fat in % would be great!

I have added body fat and abdomen. Abdomen is cm if you have weight in kg and inches otherwise.

Abdomen and %BF are best used with hip too, so there’s BF% (a value), and then waist:hip ratio (a crude indication of where and any potential for elevated health risks) . As always though, exercise caution and common sense, taking time to understand these values, and age and gender specific issues plus what they mean about health when taken with other metrics…and don’t obsess over them. Only my opinion though, and we will all have an individual take
