Was this effort supposed to update the power curve?

did this run last week and was curious because the wbal dipped well below 0 and usually in cycling this would probably update the numbers.

W’ is very tricky and hard if not impossible to measure, it is just more of an estimation. It can be your ftp is higher, it can be your W’ is higher it can be your fatigue resistance is better. But you can test your lthr with a 30min all out test and then set your W’ in a way so it would be depleted at the end of that test. But it will be true for 30m effort, for any other effort it will be more of less again an estimation. Pace and hr are your true metrics here all other are secondary

i see, yeah, probably would be a nice addition to have the old school estimated paces through a 3k test embedded here on intervals.
