Wahoo Systm Power Data not in Intervals.icu

Tried looking for this in the bugs topic but couldn’t find a good match.
I recently started using Systm and have noticed that, while the activities are all being passed across OK none of my power data is coming across to Intervals.
The power data is visible in Systm and Elemnt apps and is also being passed to Strava so it is being recorded.
I am also getting the occasional red banner which says “Error fetching data from Wahoo” (or similar).
I have done multiple deauthorise and re-connects to try to solve this and selected the download old data but this has had no effect.

Can you look up the original fit file (Download from Data tab) in https://fitfileviewer.com if there is any power data?

Might be Power 2, selectable in Actions -Settings

Thanks for the quick response. No there doesn’t seem to be any power data in the fit file. At least not where I’m looking. As i mentioned the file came via Strava rather than direct from Wahoo. Im guessing the file that went to Strava had the power data for Strava to display that info. So is it an issue importing from Strava because of the Wahoo import failure?

If the power is not in the default power field, but in a secondary (dev) field, Strava will not forward that data through the API.
Manually download the ‘original file’ from Strava and check that one with fitfileviewer. If the power is in a dev field, you will have to find another way to get the original FIT into Intervals.

Hi Thanks. I looked in the strava file and the power is in the Record section in a column called Power. I can’t see any reference to Dev anywhere. However, regardless of the Strave formatting isn’t the main problem the fact that the fit site is not coming directly from Wahoo? The only reason it is coming from Strava is because the Wahoo import failed. OR am I misunderstanding how it’s supposed to work?

No you’re not misunderstanding. The one directly from Wahoo will have the most complete data.

To check which file made it to Intervals, look at the bottom right of the summary section.

If you see Wahoo, the file came in. If you see Strava, it’s the Strava one. If you see both Wahoo and Strava, then both came in and Intervals will use the data from Wahoo with some extra functionality from Strava (naming for example).
Situation one and three, should be good. Situation two, depends on what Strava sent through.

The FIT file that made it to Intervals can be downloaded from the Data Tab. Inspect that one with fitfileviewer to see if it has power values and in which field.

Don’t look for a field called ‘dev’. A dev field can be called anything and is named as the developer decided. Power2, trainer_power, secundary_power,… are examples which are known of being used.

Great thanks. The file came in from Strava and doesn’t appear to have any power data (looking at the Intervals fit file) however this data is in the Strava fit file.
Regardless I think i am trying to solve the wrong problem here. It’s not why isn’t the Strava power data in the Intervals fit file? (although that’s perhaps another rabbit hole to go down later) but why isn’t the original Wahoo file coming across given that the permissions are in place.
Do I need to raise another bug request for that?

If I read correctly, you already tried to re-authorise. I don’t have systm. But I took a quick test on the wahoo app and recorded 5s “empty” workout. And it synchronised immediately.
Can you also try if “normal” wahoo activities are coming in?

I just recorded an 8 second empty workout and it came in immediately as you say but via Strava rather than direct from Wahoo.

Then there is an issue with your wahoo connection. Are you sure you are connected to the correct account (no second account or wife’s account or so)?

will take another look at the accounts thanks
