Hey!
I am encountering problems with date from apple watch (sync via health fit):
The climbing / vertical meters info seems to come out wrong most or all of the time. I did a run with around 500m of vertical gain today for example but intervals shows it as 934m. So almost double. In healthfit / apple healt it ahows up as 507m
Does intervals also count all the meters back down here or why is it so extremely different? Any way to get it to show just the ascended meters?
Other than that - amazing platform you have here! (I am relatively new, so apologies if I made a mistake somewhere)
Have you tried using the elevation correction feature?
Open the activity
Click on Actions (bottom right of page)
Settings
Tick the box, use elevation correction, even though it’s not recommended.
Hey, thanks for the tip. Just looked at it, elevation correction was turned on be dedault, deactivating it made it turn up as 612m. Closer to the original but still more than 20% difference… hmm
Intervals.icu computes total climbing from the altitude data if the device doesn’t have accurate elevation or if you crop the activity. I did Actions → Settings and set the watch to be “accurate”. Then I did Actions → Reprocess File to pickup the climbing from the file (507m).
