Uploading .fit files

Is it possible for making a feature to upload fit files with workouts to come in the (near) future? For example creating a workout in Training Peaks (basic version) and then upload it to the library in Intervals… .

So does the .fit file describe exactly what intervals and so on to do? I am not familiar with that side of TP.

Hi David. Thenx for your answer. Do you have an e-mail adress I can use to send you more information? Gr Laurens.

Sure: david@intervals.icu

I’ve just tried my new Kickr Core for the first time, and without a Zwift subscription (as of yet) I’ve tried using a .MRC file from my Wahoo Elemnt Bolt head-unit.
Although the workout was fine (1h, Load 74) once uploaded to Strava it showed only a 14s ride…
When looking at the ride on the Wahoo app, or after importing the .fit file in Golden Cheetah, all the data is there… Anyone that knows what’s going on?
Is there a way to manually import the file into Intervals (couldn’t care less about Strava)?

Unfortunately you can’t upload .fit files to Intervals.icu yet. This is very much on the list. I am currently busy with generating .fit files for workouts just to get used to the format then I will get on it. First version will require a Strava activity but replace the data with info parsed from the .fit file.

I don’t know why your ride didn’t import to Strava correctly. Quite likely there is a solution on the net somewhere.

My understanding is that .fit files are needed for workouts only when intervals/segments are defined by distance, not time, since erg/ZWO etc don’t support distance.

This would also open the opportunity to create “power plans” for races or events, setting power goals based on distance (I use them for timed climbs to pace myself) and even more, create power plans based on gps (so adjust based on distance, grade, elevation etc) similar to Best Bike Splits.

Lots of stuff, lot’s of work

Did you find a solution? I am having exactly the same struggles…

Don’t think so.

You can upload .fit files to Intervals.icu now.
