When I plan workouts I usually only care about a single metric from load/time/distance. I sometimes care about 2 of these, such as load and time. I almost never care about all 3. Because of this, I very often leave at least 1 of these fields blank. When looking at the planned weekly totals though, the blank fields are treated as if I had put 0. This means that if I plan a week with load only, the time and distance is shown as out of compliance on the weekly totals.
In the screenshot, monday’s ride had no planned time or distance, tues/wed/fri had no planned distance, and my Saturday race has no planned load. The weekly compliance view on the left is essentially useless in this type of scenario. It shows my week as out of compliance even though I have done exactly what I meant to do so far (hit my load target on monday’s ride, which had no other targets).
I would prefer one of the following:
- Blank fields treated as if they are equal to completed equivalent. e.g. a workout without a planned time is treated as if the matched activity’s time was exactly the planned time
- Blank fields cause that metric to be excluded entirely from the weekly totals. e.g. a workout without a planned time causes that matched activity’s time to be excluded from the weekly total
