Understanding a lumpy Pace Chart

Hi, looking at a recent run I’m a little confused how the pace chart shows a fast pace for a longer distance. Surely to cover that longer distance I must have covered a shorter one quicker?

I’ve attcahed a screenshot with highlighter of the bits I’m questioning. It is also notable on the other lines (best ever, last season lines) to a lesser degree.

Answered my own question after a bit more thinking. The answer is in the name of the App, “Intervals”! Doh!
