TSS varies from Training Peaks

Hi, I have a history in here from Feb 2021. It shows an actual fitness 49. In TP it is 65.
Where is the difference coming from? All activities are uploaded.

i’m guessing that this could be due to changes in your FTP which is reflected in one site and not the other during the time from Feb 2021 to current

Check some of your activities to make sure the training load is similar. If the FTP is the same on the activity for both sites it should be. Intervals.icu does exclude “burrito breaks” (longish stops) from the TSS calculation but otherwise it is the same. Also check that Intervals.icu hasn’t clipped any power spikes.

Hi, checked all settings for running and both speed and HR settings are the same, Intervals reports 30 and Tp 52 TSS. Can’t find where the difference comes from.

For running, there is no “standard” to calculate load from Pace/Speed and HR. Different models exist and intervals has several for HR. In case of load based on Pace, it will be influenced by the GAP model (None - Type of model)

For cycling, the standard is to use load from Power and that should be the same or very close on every platform if FTP is set equally.

If you only use HR and or Pace, don’t compare the numbers from different apps. But the trend should be very similar.
If you have a mix of Power on the bike and Pace/HR for running, try the different options to see which one is closest.
It might even be best to display Fitness per sport in that case.
