Hi all,
I’ve been working on a project called Trofeo (trofeo.fit) and wanted to share it here to get some feedback.
The goal isn’t to replace tools like Intervals.icu. If anything, I see it as complementary. Intervals is great for deep, “hardcore” analysis with lots of raw metrics.
Trofeo is more focused on being user-friendly and accessible, especially for more casual athletes who don’t want to dig through a lot of data, but still want useful insights, segments, and some competitive/social elements.
Right now there are a lot of apps that either do just one or two things, or larger platforms that have become quite expensive. I’m trying to build something that covers core cycling/running/hiking needs in a simpler way, while keeping it affordable.
Current / planned:
- Segments & leaderboards — done
- Activity analysis (web) — done
- Basic social — done
- Gear tracking (including SRAM AXS support)
- Route builder — planned
- Mobile app for recording — in progress
I also think there’s room for more meaningful social features in fitness apps, but those only really work if there’s enough people using the platform. Right now it feels like there’s a mix of dominant platforms and many smaller apps that each solve a narrow problem.
Curious to hear from Intervals users:
- Would you use something like this alongside Intervals?
- What features would make it worth using for you?
It’s not fully free, but the goal is to keep it very accessible. With potential Intervals integration, the idea would be to use Intervals for analytics and Trofeo for everything around it.
Also curious what kind of monetization model feels fair to you. Realistically, fully free apps tend to become partially paid over time, so I’d rather be upfront and find a balance that works for users.
Appreciate any feedback, positive or negative.
