We’ve been riding and running for years, and like many of you we’ve tried the structured-training tools out there. They build fitness well, but two things kept bugging us: most “AI coaches” hand you a number and you just have to trust it (black box), and almost everything serious is in English. We wanted the opposite — a coach you can audit, in Spanish.
So we built Trenio: a training planner for cycling and running with a deterministic, auditable engine (the LLM only explains and adjusts — it never decides your load).
How it works:
Connect your intervals.icu account (OAuth — your password stays with intervals.icu). Trenio reads your activities and wellness (sleep, HRV, resting HR).
A deterministic engine builds your week from your goal, fitness (CTL/ATL/TSB), thresholds and availability — and adapts each day to your readiness.
Every session opens its “why”: the rule, your data, and the scientific source. No black box — you check it yourself. Planned workouts are written to your intervals.icu calendar.
What makes it different:
Auditable, not a black box. Same data + same rule = same result, and each decision cites its reference (Coggan, Daniels, Friel, Gabbett, Seiler).
Spanish-native. Built for Spanish speakers, not translated.
Cycling + running in one fatigue curve — one load, not two apps. (No swimming for now — we’d rather do two sports well.)
Daily readiness gate (HRV + resting HR + sleep + RPE): if you’re cooked, it softens today’s quality and tells you why.
Goal periodization (Base/Build/Peak/Taper) and a reasoned post-race report.
Injury-aware: tell it “my back hurts past 50 min” and the engine respects that cap every week.
Pricing: Free during the beta. Early users get a founder advantage when pricing arrives.
I’m actively building this and would love feedback from this community — especially: which recovery signals do you most want a planner to respect, and where does your current workflow break?
