I’ve recently found out how to set up training plans and did that for myself.
One of the run workouts I have is like this:
Warmup
2km Z2 Pace (6:53-6:09)
2x
1km Z4 Pace (5:40-5:27)
1’ Z2 Pace (6:53-6:09 for 0.15km)
2x
1km Z5 Pace (5:24-5:13)
1’ Z2 Pace (6:53-6:09 for 0.15km)
2x
1km Z6 Pace (5:10-4:51)
1’ Z2 Pace (6:53-6:09 for 0.15km)
Cooldown
2km Z2 Pace (6:53-6:09)
I’ve wanted to base this plan on pace and run length.
I’ve also set up my training zones to what Garmin told me about my threshhold: 168HR and pace 5:30/km. Yesterday I did this workout and my Garmin estimated my LTpace to 5:24/km so I’ve changed my settings here as well. Sadly my completed workout got updated (didn’t click on “update activities”). The workout above is AFTER I made the change. Before the times were couple seconds slower per km.
Another example for my easy run:
5km Z2 pace (6:53-6:09)
That’s after. Before was 7s slower.
Is there a way to stop the updates in the past planned workouts? I’m able to remember prescribed paces right now but in a weeks time I won’t.
The past is not updated unless you use update activities, or the activities list view on the calendar.
If you want to update a date range, use the list view to do this. This topic and others (search using list view) can assist with the basic process to update:
The past activites are not updated - that’s true. But I have issue with past planned workouts - I’ve just changed my LT pace from 5:24 to 5:00 and my prescribed workout for yesterday changed from the above to:
Warmup
Don’t know if that’s a bug but I’d love to do this:
plan my workouts - 1st screenshot
do the workout and see what LTpace prediction I got from Garmin
update my LTpace in the settings without updating the activities
see my past planned workout as it was before changing LTpace
see my future planned workouts as it should be after changing LTpace
do another workout next week, get LTpace prediction from Garmin, update it and so on…
