Hi community,
If pace based TL is used, totals/averages of time and either distance or pace for the whole activity are used in TSS formula described here Running Training Stress Score (rTSS*) Explained | TrainingPeaks.
The result is that you get lower TL for hard interval session than if you do slightly longer run with same average pace.
I have an idea on how to improve this calculation and would like to hear your input on this.
I would use pace histogram (which is already available) and calculate TSS score for each segment (pace range) of it and then sum all to get the result.
This might be my example interval session:
HR based TL is 30 (My max HR is 195)
Pace based TL as is currently computed is 31 (My threshold pace is 4:15/km)
Pace-histogram based TL is 58.5
