I was wondering where Intervals gets its distance for gear number from. On the settings page there is the Gear line that shows how many kilometers you’ve ridden or ran with certain gear. On my page it says I’ve ridden 752 kilometers on my Raleigh 600. This is incorrect. I’ve ridden close to 2000 kilometers since I bought it back in November. As a matter of fact, yesterday I rode about about eight kilometers and that number dropped from 774 to 752. Something needs to be fixed.
It sums up the activities with the selected gear. Didn’t find any issues with that. So be sure to select the correct gear for an activity. You can auto assign it in settings for example per sports type or PM serial number. You can create a cumulative distance chart per gear and you see, how the distance is increasing. Or you show the gear column in the activity list and filter by gear. Many options to correct your situation.
Once you created the Gear, apply it to the activities you used it and then click ‘Calculate’. That should give you the correct situation at the present time.
Then set the gear as ‘Default’ for the activities you’re normally using it for and future activities will automatically have the gear applied to it.
Thanks. I went through the Activities list page and reassigned all activites back to October to the new bike and that seems to have taken care of it. Now I’m sitting right under 2000 km.
