Swim workouts and nested intervals

just wondering how can we input swim wkt in terms of meters/time of rest and pace based on critical swim velocity that is the swim treshold pace

also how to input nested intervals for example
4x
2 x 100m no target 10 sec rest
2 x 200m 80% CSV

In my opinion, it would be useful to prescribe it in terms of RPE (this metric is already in intervals, I believe it would be easier to implement). I believe swim threshold pace is not that great for swimming because the TSS can be easily miscalculated. Classic examples would be when you do a workout using a floater between your legs and/or hand-paddles (swimming faster, with less effort). RPE is way more accurate to measure your effort in this cases. Also, about distance and pace, I’ve requested David a few months ago for running (I believe that when released, will fit also for swim workouts) and I believe it’s already in the “to do list” :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

agree. RPE is far more useful and general

I second this. Had to spend a fair amount of time converting pace (3:30min/km) and distance (400m) to time (1m24s) to encode a workout the other day

I like the RPE idea. Easy to implement and covers all sports. I will need to figure out a way to translate RPE into “power” to plot the workout bars.

This is on the todo list but currently you have to cut and paste to dup up the sets.
